Inspection

Q-Mass considers its excellent quality performance as a core competency and therefore pays great attention to getting it right first time. This involves ensuring that the right equipment, methods, competency etc. are all in place for every job.

In addition, a thorough 'in process' inspection is carried out by the operators on each job followed by a full independent final inspection before despatch. Any discrepancies are dealt with by corrective action and also 'prevention of recurrence' action by addressing the root cause of any problems e.g. methods, equipment, information, training etc.

Q-Mass has invested heavily in inspection equipment (see plant list) including CMMs, shadowgraph, various micrometers, verniers, gauges, Gagemakers, etc. A fully audited ISO 9001:2008 calibration system helps ensure that all inspection equipment is well maintained and kept in good order.
